MAIN FUNCTIONS
Logistics specialists provide subject matter expertise to operating teams. Expert resource for logistics and may include aviation, marine, shore-based, ground transportation, and camp services to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient logistic services. Demonstrates good planning, scheduling, coordination, and administration skills and able to influence without
authority at all levels within an organization. A logistics specialist may cover some or all of the responsibilities listed below.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Works with Aviation and Procurement to optimize both helicopter and fixed
wing transportation.
. Ensures all logistical support activities follow proper company process
and control.
. Provides expertise for remote, onshore, and offshore logistics, including
marine support commissioning, material transfer, and start up procedures.
. Participates in emergency preparedness doctrine, training and drills.
. Provides more technical/functional support than administrative support.
. Makes decisions within broad parameters.
Job Requirement
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
. BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other Technical degree .
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to
network effectively across organizations.
. Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of technology, applications,
terminology, and procedures required of job function.
. Behavioral Skills: adaptability, analytical capability, applied learning,
effective communication, sound decision-making .
Functional Skills: Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) management - operations and maintenance, managing critical operations, operations - specific technology and unit or area, maintenance management, logistics, general marine
operations.
