MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Fuel Clerk is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate management of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) across designated office locations and residences. The role involves monitoring fuel deliveries, storage, consumption, stock levels, dispensing activities, tank integrity, and related documentation.
The position also supervises AGO delivery operations, including the assigned 13,500-litre fuel truck and crew, while ensuring compliance with operational procedures, safety requirements, environmental standards, and applicable company policies.
- Supervise AGO delivery and utilization of the 13,500L fuel truck.
- Monitor fuel levels, consumption, deliveries, and stock reconciliation.
- Conduct routine checks/dips of fuel tanks and bunkering facilities.
- Coordinate AGO deliveries with suppliers, procurement, and relevant departments.
- Monitor fuel storage, dispensing facilities, maintenance, and tank certification.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel stock/consumption reports.
- Ensure adequate safety stock levels and plan fuel replenishment.
- Monitor compliance with fuel dispensing, PTW, HSE, and environmental procedures.
- Conduct fuel quality checks and tank ullage measurements before discharge.
- Report and support remediation of spills, leaks, and loss-of-containment incidents.
- Support ISO 14001 and other HSE-related audits.
Job Requirement
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum OND in Technical, Science, Engineering, Logistics, or related discipline.
- 0–2 years’ experience in a similar role; Oil & Gas experience preferred.
- Good numerical, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of fuel handling, storage, inventory control, and HSE procedures is an advantage.
