MAIN FUNCTIONS

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for evaluating reservoir performance, estimating hydrocarbon reserves, and developing strategies to optimize reservoir recovery and production. The role involves analyzing reservoir data, conducting reservoir simulation studies, preparing development plans, and providing technical recommendations to maximize asset value while ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate reservoir performance using production, pressure, well test, and geological data.
  • Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and resources in accordance with recognized industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to forecast reservoir performance and optimize recovery.
  • Conduct material balance, decline curve, nodal, and production performance analyses to support reservoir management decisions.
  • Prepare reservoir development and depletion plans to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and economic value.
  • Identify opportunities for production optimization, infill drilling, workovers, well interventions, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) initiatives.
  • Monitor reservoir pressure, fluid movement, and production trends, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with Geologists, Geophysicists, Drilling, Production, Facilities, and Petrophysics teams to develop integrated field development strategies.
  • Evaluate well performance and recommend completion, stimulation, and artificial lift optimization programs where applicable.
  • Support field development planning, reserves maturation, and asset evaluation activities.
  • Perform uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to assess reservoir performance and development risks.
  • Prepare technical reports, reservoir management plans, reserve estimates, and performance reviews for management and regulatory submissions.
  • Participate in field surveillance programs, reservoir review meetings, and multidisciplinary technical studies.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in reservoir engineering activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term production planning activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging reservoir engineering technologies, software, and industry developments to improve reservoir management practices
