Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Provide site-based HSE supervision for infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring contractors and subcontractors comply with company HSE requirements, procedures, permits, risk assessments, and safety standards.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor compliance with approved HSE plans and procedures.
- Conduct site HSE inspections, audits, surveillance, and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Review method statements, risk assessments, JRA, and HSE documentation.
- Ensure valid Permit to Work (PTW) is in place before site activities.
- Identify unsafe acts/conditions and initiate STOP CARD interventions.
- Support incident/accident investigations and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor emergency preparedness, drills, first-aid facilities, and site safety requirements.
- Conduct HSE inductions and promote safety awareness among project personnel and contractors.
- Participate in HSE meetings, audits, inspections, and safety studies.
- Maintain anomaly/action-tracking records and prepare HSE performance reports.
Job Requirement
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc. or equivalent in Engineering, Physical Science, or related discipline.
- Recognized HSE qualification/certification.
- 0–2 years’ relevant experience in Oil & Gas production projects, construction, infrastructure, or comparable industrial environments.
- Oil & Gas experience is required/preferred, particularly in project/construction HSE supervision.
- Experience monitoring contractor HSE performance and implementing HSE plans.
- Knowledge of PTW, risk assessment, JRA, method statement review, HAZOP/HAZID/HAZAN, and site HSE surveillance.
- Experience with HSE inspections, audits, incident investigation, emergency drills, and corrective-action tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication, planning, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Proactive, safety-conscious, disciplined, and able to work effectively with contractors and project teams.
