Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS
We are seeking a transport foreman to coordinate transportation operations, supervise drivers, allocate vehicles, and ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation services across Company locations.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and document all transportation requests and ensure timely execution.
- Allocate appropriate drivers and vehicles based on operational requirements.
- Supervise drivers and monitor compliance with Company policies and the Land Transport Management System (LTMS).
- Coordinate staff transportation to and from airports, hotels, schools, residences, offices, and other locations.
- Monitor vehicle availability, assignments, inspections, and key control.
- Maintain accurate transportation, driver, and vehicle records and generate operational reports.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with HSE and safe-driving requirements.
- Process contractor personnel invoices and maintain relevant documentation.
- Organize monthly Drivers HSE meetings and drivers' forums.
- Ensure drivers complete required DDC training and annual medical fitness assessments.
- Coordinate passenger transportation for ferry/boat operations in liaison with the Travel team.
- Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed and properly recorded.
- Monitor the availability and functionality of staff buses and other assigned vehicles.
- Support compliance with Company HSE requirements for land and marine transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirement
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- HND in Social Sciences or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years' experience in driver and vehicle supervision, transport operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience supervising drivers and managing fleet operations.
- Good knowledge of transportation safety and HSE requirements.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple transportation requests.
- Good computer and record-keeping skills.
