Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Fabricator is responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and fabricating metal components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and approved fabrication procedures. The role involves preparing materials, operating fabrication equipment, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, and delivering high-quality fabrication work to support safe and efficient operations.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and apply the plant safety standards and maintenance procedures while performing the work.
- Drive forklift and other mobile equipment as per Q-Chem regulations.
- Ability to operate all types of hand and pneumatic tools.
- Make field sketch get it approved by Q-Chem and fabricate job independently.
- Apply the Company piping class, standards, etc., while performing the work.
- Read isometric and other engineering drawing and carry out job accordingly.
- Ability to make sketch and fabricate miter joints.
- Good knowledge of piping and related specifications, i.e. schedule, rating, etc.
- In addition to his normal jobs, he should assist and participate in other maintenance activities.
- Able to use cutting torch and welding machines for cutting and tack welding job.
- Able to work on plasma cutting machine
- Will be subject to in-house training on safety, quality improvement tools to participate in Q-Chem continuous improvement.
- Ability to work at Elevated heights.
Job Requirement
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School/ Diploma/ OND/ HND/ BSc. from reputable institution.
- Fluent knowledge of English language (Speak, Read and Write).
- Trade training certificate from recognized institution.
- Experience certificate as fabricator from Petrochemical Plant or Construction Company.
- Three years work experience in similar capacity in a process or construction company.
