RESERVOIR ENGINEER

The responsibilities of the Reservoir Engineer are:

• Perform proper follow-up of numerous fields activities, production and reservoir studies.
• Prepare validation dossiers, under the supervision of the Reservoir Engineering Manager, for internal approvals,

Carry out key reporting exercises (weekly, monthly, SOX, budgeting, LTP, reserves, etc.) for client assets.

Production Follow-up & Data Gathering

1. Follow up daily/monthly production data and analyze short falls
2. Obtain information and data from operator through meetings, reports and contacts for use and feedback
3. Attend meetings (QMR, VAR, PAR, etc.) and workshops as one of Company’s representatives

Reserves and Profiles Evaluation

1. Review operators’ volumetric and reserves.
2. Perform volumetric assessment in conjunction with 2G staff for new developments.
3. Interpret new reservoir data to analyze performance and estimate recovery efficiency.
4. Forecast future production through classical reservoir engineering techniques and/or simulation.
5. Provide production profiles and reserves estimates for reporting and submission to Prime, LTP and Budget exercises.

Reservoir Engineering Activities

1. Review & QC operator’s work and plans (Field Reviews, Field Development Plans, Appraisal Plans, well proposals, fields monitoring)
2. Perform appropriate studies on operator’s work using RE analytical or numerical techniques and contribute to the preparation for Revue Gis validation meetings.
3. Make recommendations based on technical judgment for management approval, with a view to optimizing economic value of assets. Make presentations as required

Others

1. Provide technical assistance for other Reservoir Engineers & mentor interns.
2. Interface with different entities within (2G team, Asset manager, Finance) and outside as required
3. Promote HSE policies in line with Company’s policy.
4. Participate in AOBO GSR Weekly Meeting as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. 

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or other branches of engineering (B. Sc. or M.Sc.)
• Professional experience of at least 8 years in reservoir engineering
• Ability to synthesize data and capacity to interact with the operational professionals
• Fluency in English is highly desirable
