FACILITIES CONSULTANT (UPSTREAM)

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Facilities Consultant (Upstream), you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, design, and management of facilities associated with upstream oil and gas operations. Your expertise will ensure that our facilities are efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant, enabling optimal production and resource management. You will collaborate with various teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design and optimization of upstream facilities, including drilling sites, production platforms, and processing facilities.
- Develop detailed engineering specifications and drawings in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage facility-related projects from initiation through execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate project success.
- Conduct assessments of existing facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
- Leverage data analysis to optimize facility operations, reducing downtime and operational costs.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure facilities are operating within safety and environmental guidelines.
- Provide expert technical advice to operations teams regarding facility maintenance, upgrades, and best practices.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance team capabilities in facility management.
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, preparing necessary documentation and reports as required.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, integrating changes into facility operations as needed.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and environmental teams, to align facility strategies with organizational goals.
- Represent the organization in discussions with regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, and partners.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in facilities engineering of which 5 years in management position within the oil and gas sector.
- In-depth knowledge of upstream facility design, construction, and operations, as well as detail knowledge of relevant industry regulations.Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
