Roles & Responsibilities but not limited to;

➢ Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, Cutting orders list to plan layout for cutting operations.

➢ Examine work piece for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges and measuring tape to ensure conformance with specifications.

➢ Signal crane operators to move large work piece.

➢ Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to cutting, using straightedges, combination squares, steel rule and measuring tape.

➢ Prepare all material surfaces to be cut, ensuring that there is no thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.

➢ Ensure Proper marking according to drawing and specification

➢ Select and install torches, torch tips, Cutting Nozzle according to Cutting Nozzle chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals

➢ Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.

➢ Cut and bevel metal plates, H-Beam and structural shapes to dimensions as specified by Drawing, blueprints, layouts, cutting order list and templates, using Band saw, Beaver Machine, Track Machine or CNC Gas Cutting Machine, hand shears, or chipping knives.

➢ Guide and direct flames across workpieces to straighten and avoid bend, melt, or build up metal.

➢ Monitor the burning, cutting processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.

➢ Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.

➢ Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.

➢ Arrange finished materials on the pick area

➢ Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

• Qualification
• Completed OND,HND or BSc.
• 5 years minimum experience.
• Strong communications (oral & written)
• High standard of Safety.
